Tracy Lord (Hepburn) is getting ready to get remarried to a respectable gentleman. But then her ex- Husband shows up. C.K Dexter Haven (Grant) is now working at a tabloid magazine. He brings with him a writer and a photographer.
Now Tracy is faced with the truth about herself. Along the way her ex husband, Conner (Stewart), and the photographer will help her figure out her next move. Jimmy Stewart won an Oscar for his role and Hepburn was nominated along with Ruth Hussey.
